He’ll take us on a deep dive into why gut feeling is often a poor guide when it comes to investing, the psychological traps investors can fall into, and why keeping emotions out of investment decisions can lead to better outcomes.

Prof. Dr. Thorsten Hens
Member of the findpendent investment committee
Prof. Dr. Thorsten Hens is the deputy head of the Institute for Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Bonn and, before joining Zurich in 1999, he was a full professor at the University of Bielefeld. Behavioral finance is one of his many areas of expertise.
We’re thrilled to have him not only as a member of our investment committee but also as a guest speaker at our get together.
